Recognized as the industry leader in the design and manufacture of quality solar powered traffic safety equipment, Precision Solar Controls was formed in 1988.  We introduced solar technology to the work zone market, and were the first to use LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) for traffic control devices.  Since the introduction of the first solar powered changeable message sign in 1992, the Solar Message Center, our message centers have been recognized as the benchmark in quality and reliability by which other signs are measured.   The success of the Solar Message Center, exceeding existing specifications and providing years of dependable and reliable service, started an evolution in the changeable message sign industry.  Today, solar power is the accepted technology for changeable message signs, and many of the signs we manufactured in 1992 are still in use.
